Our "Best of the Best" Top 10

It's a simple and somewhat innocent question, that we're asked often: "Which are your favorite wines?" Yet, in a way, it's like being asked which of your children you love the most. To complicate things, over 15 vintages we've had the pleasure of producing 143 wines. Having won many Gold medals, it is a difficult task. So, here is our best attempt at listing the ten wines that as proprietors we have over the years derived the most pleasure pouring and saying, "This is a Yorkville Cellars wine made from our grapes" while enjoying the wines ourselves with family and friends.

Just a handful of the hundreds of accolades, medals, and awards Yorkville Cellars has been honored to receive from 1994 to 2009. It is very gratifying to consistently gain recognition for a product grown in one's own vineyards.

How gratifying to receive the BEST MERLOT award toping 322 Merlots knowing that the it was awarded by a distinguished panel of judges in a blind tasting and where dozens of the the others were priced more than double ours.
