Monthly Special - Malbec

Local Underdogs:

Argentina - 2,100,000 cases*

Yorkville Cellars - 500 cases

According to wine industry reports, Malbec is "absolutely on fire." Well, we have proudly enjoyed producing our Malbec each year since 1995, long before the Argentines were exporting theirs to our shores.

Malbec is originally a French grape, used in the blends of Bordeaux and Cahors. With only 1,153 bearing acres in California (out of over a half million wine grape vineyard acres), ours is one of only a handful of domestic Malbecs.

So start your own fire, and take this opportunity to stock up on Malbec to enjoy with autumn's bountiful fare. Regular price $25.

2007 Malbec

$20 per bottle - With Free Shipping Saves up to $90

*The U.S. imported approximately 2.1 million cases of Malbec in 2008, up from 1.3 million in 2007.

Sat. Nov 7 & Sun. Nov 8 Menu

We'll be serving various Malbec wines from our cellar from the mid nineties as well as a couple of our gold medal winning vintages from 2001, 2003, 2004, and 2006. We shall pour our newly released 2007 Malbec and barrel samples from 2008 and the barely fermented 2009 wines, which were harvested just about a month ago.

Our appetizers will include:
1. Creamy Quiche with Chanterelles
2. Mixed Mushroom Mousse with shaved Lobster mushrooms served with Ciabatta bread
3. Rustic Pork Porcini and Pumpkin Casserole (we add chestnuts too, another local crop from old sweet chestnut trees planted by Italian settlers)
4. Delicato Squash stuffed with Trumpet mushrooms and wild rice
5. Spicy Dragon Noodles with Oyster, Alba Clamshells and Shitake mushrooms
6. Butternut Squash Soup with a garnish of Candy Cap mushrooms.

We always enjoy hearing from you!

Please don't hesitate to call or email us if we can help you in any way- for example: recommending food pairings, setting up an organic vineyard tour and tasting, helping with a special gift or shipment, or finding out if our wine is available in a local restaurant.

We invite you to follow us wherever you like:
