You asked - so here is our  Richard the Lion-Heart

We thank everyone who answered our recent eNews survey asking which wine you would most like to be a Monthly Special. Richard the Lion-Heart was the winner by a wide margin. The medieval king whose name has echoed down the centuries.

This archetypal warrior also loved music and poetry with a chivalrous theme and was very fond of the wine from his lands, including the whole of the Bordeaux region of France.

We invite you to enjoy our latest blend of our most special wine that includes six grape varietals which originated in Richard’s territory. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Carmenere make up our own 2005 Richard the Lion-Heart. We carefully assembled this blend two years ago chosing favorite lots from our best barrels, which came from selected areas of our Rennie organic vineyard. Two years on and it's a wine fit for a king (or perhaps a father- remember Father's Day is June 21st).

Summon up some troubadours, go ahead and throw another bear on the barbie, and enjoy a grand, royal feast one day soon.
