Spring or just trying?
One of the first signs of the awakening of the vineyard is the movement of sap from the roots to the top of the vine. With our recent pruning efforts, the cut ends of the vines appear to be 'weeping'. Not to worry, we haven't hurt the vine (or it's feelings). Grapes will be produced only on the new growth each year, so the vines should be aggressively cut back each dormant season. Although we often have a warm spell in February (a 'false spring'), this year seems like it might be the real thing. Even the giant native oak trees here seem to be waking up, and at 300 years old, they're pretty hard to fool.
Monthly Special - Cellared Wines
Over the years, we have cellared a very small amount of each of our best wines to allow additional bottle aging. While most wine in the U.S. is consumed within several days of purchase, we believe that Yorkville Cellars makes wine that improves with age, up to a decade or more.
So after much work crawling around the back end of our rather dusty cellar, we have cataloged what we have, and we're making it available this month. Further, as our March Special- you can receive Free Shipping & Handling on cellared wines.
If you click on the link below, you'll discover wines back to our 1995 vintage. Many listed are on our all-time Top Accolades list.
So, welcome to our dusty shelves. If you browse a bit, you may discover a forgotten classic!

Note: There are no discounts on cellared wines. However, our Hi-Rollr Wine Club members will have priority on all cellared wines until March 23rd, after which remaining stock will be avialble to the general public.
Monthly Special ends Monday, March 31, 2008
and applies to telephone orders: (707) 894-9177. This offer not to be combined with any other.
